What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Madinakhon Salidjanova. I am 16 years old and I was born on July 13, 2010. I live in Uzbekistan.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Russian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was seven years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis academy do you train?
I train at Smash Tennis Academy.
Who is your coach?
My coach is Vladislav Shegay.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My serve is very good and my shots are strong. Right now, we are working on my volley.
What is your national and ITF ranking?
My national ranking is No. 1, and my ITF ranking is No. 900.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I reached a final at an ITF J30 tournament and played two more semifinals at J30 level. I am also a winner of Tennis Europe Category 2 tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I have never had a sponsor, but I would really like to have one. I play with a Yonex racket, and my shoes and clothes are Nike.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to reach the ITF Top 100.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win the Australian Open and become World No. 1.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Jannik Sinner because I play like him. I think we have similar tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love watching movies and reading books.
