Introduce yourself: Name, Age, Date of birth, Nationality, City of residence
My name is Giada Meneguzzo. I was born in 2008, I am Italian, and I live in Cassano Magnago, Italy.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Italian, English, and a little Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was around 10 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Not competitively, but my father inspired me to start playing tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I trained at Cassano Tennis Club in Cassano Magnago, Italy. At the moment, I have moved my tennis activity and training base to the United States.
What is your coaching team?
In Italy, my coaches are Michela Spreafico and Fabrizio Demelli, while in the United States my head coach is Derrick Hubble.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train two hours of tennis per day, six days a week, along with four hours of conditioning and speed training per week, plus four gym sessions every week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I believe my greatest strength is that I never give up โ€” every point matters. I would like to improve my aggressiveness on court.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U18 category and my Italian ranking was 3.1, although I stopped competing in Italy around two years ago.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
In Italy, I won many tournaments. In the United States, I was awarded National Champion of Character, named Second Freshman of the Year, and achieved a singles record of 20 wins and 4 losses.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Italy and the United States.
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes. My sponsors include Dunlop and Vita Strong. In the United States, I also play under Nike for the American college championship.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to continue improving, perform well at the ITA Tournament in September, and finish the season in the best possible way.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to enter the WTA rankings.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Novak Djokovic because he has always been my favorite player. I admire his style of play and mentality, and I believe he could give me valuable advice for my development.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my friends and family, and trying other sports.
