My name is Olivia Poinsot Avila. I am 16 years old, born on September 3, 2009. I am Spanish and I live in Barcelona, Spain.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish, French, Catalan, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my mother,Neus Avila, was a Top 100 WTA player.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Club Tennis Barcino in Barcelona.
What is your weekly training routine?
I usually train 3.5 hours every morning, including 2 hours of tennis and 1.5 hours of gym and physical preparation. When possible, I also train an additional 1 hour and 15 to 30 minutes in the afternoon.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my forehand and my variety in the game. I would like to become more aggressive on court.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the junior category and I am currently ranked No. 7 in Spain.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best results include reaching two J60 singles finals in Spain, winning three J60 doubles titles, and reaching finals in J100 tournaments. I have also continued progressing despite periods dedicated to technical improvements.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in Spain, France, Ireland, Morocco, Turkey, and Greece.

My goal is to achieve the best possible results to improve my ranking and qualify for the junior Grand Slams next year.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to enjoy the process, reach my highest level, become a professional player, and compete in Grand Slam tournaments.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Jannik Sinner because he is such a complete player both mentally and technically, and I would love to learn about the small steps required to reach the top.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love playing piano and guitar, which I have practiced since I was little. I also enjoy football, drawing, spending time with friends, and walking with my dog.
