My name is Meina Bonomi. I am 16 years old and was born in Switzerland in 2009. I am both Japanese and Brazilian, and I currently live in Spain with my family.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Japanese, English, and Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 10. My brother, who also plays tennis, inspired me to pick up a racket.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes. My brother also plays tennis, and we often train together.
Where do you train?
I train in Spain with my private coach alongside my brother.
What is your coaching team?
My brother and I share the same private coach, who guides our development and training.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train approximately 21 hours of tennis and 3 hours of fitness each week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my aggressive playing style and my movement around the court. Recently, I have been working hard on improving my net game so I can finish points more effectively.
What is your age category and competition level?
I compete in the U18 category and regularly play both junior and women’s ITF tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Greece, Portugal, England, Slovakia, and several other countries.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to continue building more variety in my game and become a more complete and unpredictable player.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tour player and inspire people to believe in themselves.

I would most like to meet Marta Kostyuk because I admire the way she plays and the attitude she brings to the court.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy drawing, reading, and swimming.
