What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Emily Jiang. I was born on February 5, 2014. I am from Ingolstadt, Germany.
What languages do you speak?
I speak German, English, and Chinese.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was eight years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only one in my family who plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at TC RW Eichstätt.
Who is your coach?
My coach is Martin Suk.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are that I am dedicated and disciplined. I also hope I will grow much taller.
What is your age category and national ranking?
My age category is U12, and I am currently ranked No. 35 in Germany.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest achievements so far include winning a U14 tournament while competing in an older age category and reaching the semifinals of a Tennis Europe Category 1 tournament in doubles.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Germany, Belgium, and Austria.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I play with Babolat rackets and I am sponsored by Solinco for my strings. I hope to get a sponsorship for my rackets as well.
What is your next goal?
My next goals are to qualify for the national U12 Masters by the end of the year and to win a Tennis Europe tournament.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win an ITF tournament.
Who are your favorite players?
I have many favorite players: Aryna Sabalenka, Naomi Osaka, Qinwen Zheng, Novak Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Besides tennis, I enjoy school, especially taking part in maths competitions, as well as swimming and playing table tennis.
