My name is Mariam Shamugia. I was born on August 11, 2012. I am Georgian and I live in Tbilisi, Georgia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Georgian, English, and German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was almost 11 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Leila Meskhi Academy.
What is your coaching team?
I train with the coaching staff at Leila Meskhi Academy.
What is your weekly training routine?
I play tennis every day, usually at 3:00 PM or 6:00 PM. I also work on my footwork twice a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my forehand and volleys. I would like to improve my serve.
What is your age category?
I compete in the U14 category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my best achievements so far is finishing in third place at a tournament.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Georgia, France, and Turkey.
Do you have any sponsors?
Not yet, but I hope to find sponsors in the future.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to finish among the top three players in tournaments.
