Nicole Lindt · Interview, August 2026

What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Nicole Lindt. I am 13 years old and I was born on August 22, 2013. I am from Estonia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak almost three languages: Estonian, Russian, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was six years old, but I really started to love it when I was 12.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My dad also loves playing tennis, although he does not play very often.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Altius Tennis Club.
Who are your coaches?
My favorite coaches at Altius Tennis Club are Karin and Ekaterina.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
One of my biggest strengths is that I never give up. Recently, I came to a competition while I was sick, but I still made it to the final. During the final, I injured my nose, but I continued playing and fighting until the end.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I play in the U14 category, and I am currently ranked No. 47 in Estonia among U14 players.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I won my first tournament in April, and that was when I realized I wanted to pursue tennis professionally. From April to September, I have won seven tournaments, finished third once, and finished second once.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only competed in tournaments in Estonia, but now I am preparing for Tennis Europe tournaments, and my goal is to compete in them in 2027.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
My racket is a Wilson Clash 265g, and I wear Nike, Wilson, and ASICS clothing. I have dreamed about having a sponsor for a very long time, and I hope that one day I will have one.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to qualify for Wimbledon U14 in 2027 and win many European tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
My plans for the future are to win as many Grand Slam titles as possible, as well as Olympic medals.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite tennis player used to be Novak Djokovic, and now it is Jannik Sinner. I admire them for their footwork, game mentality, and ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love going for walks, playing volleyball, and doing mini coordination workouts. I find them really fun and interesting.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I would like to dedicate this interview to everyone who does not believe in themselves. I used to feel the same way about myself, but now I believe that I can achieve my dreams.
