My name is Marat Deshin. I am 14 years old, born on March 20, 2012. I am Russian and I live between Voronezh, Russia, and Murcia, Spain.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian, English, and a little Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 6.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, both of my grandfathers played tennis.
In which tennis clubs do you train?
I train at Voronezh Tennis Academy and Club de Tennis Torrevieja.
What is your coaching team?
My tennis coach is Andrei Egorov, and my general physical training coach is Dmitry Elutin.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train 8 to 10 times per week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my serve. I want to become more stable with my forehand and backhand.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the 14 & Under category. My national ranking is No. 35, and my Tennis Europe ranking is No. 132.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best results so far are two runner-up finishes at Tennis Europe Category 3 tournaments in Baku.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Spain, Montenegro, Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, the United Arab Emirates, and Georgia.
Do you have any sponsors?
I had a sponsor before, but I am currently looking for a new one.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for this year is to reach the Top 50 in Tennis Europe 14 & Under, enter the Top 10 in the Russian Tennis Tour U15, and earn my first ITF Junior points.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to become World No. 1.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
In the future, I would like to face Jannik Sinner and test my level against him. I will be preparing for that match.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love reading, watching movies, and spending time with loved ones.
