Hello, my name is Nela Ducheckova. I am from the Czech Republic. I was born on July 27, 2016, and I am 9 years old.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Czech and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 and a half years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
When I started playing tennis, my parents also started learning. My mom still says tennis is not her strongest sport π My dad was a professional goalkeeper.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at TK Sparta Praha in Prague.
What is your coaching team?
I work with my tennis coach, a fitness coach, a compensation trainer, and a mental coach.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train tennis four times a week and play matches on weekends.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my serve, forehand, and my love for volleying. I would like to improve my speed and reaction.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U12 category. In the Czech Republic, there are three divisions inside the U12 category: U10, U11, and U12.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my biggest achievements so far was reaching the semifinals in both the U10 and U11 categories at my first international Turkish Bowl tournament in Turkey.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I currently play tournaments mainly in the Czech Republic, but I have also competed in Turkey. Soon I will turn 10 and will be able to travel and compete more around Europe.
Do you have any sponsors?
Not yet. My parents support everything and Iβm very grateful that I can play the sport I love. Maybe one day Wilson will come with an offer that I cannot refuse π
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to continue improving my technique and become a better player.
What is your tennis dream?
I want to become one of the best tennis players in the world.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Aryna Sabalenka because she is my favorite player and I am a huge fan of hers.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy dancing standard and Latin dances, studying for school, playing ping pong, and ice skating.
