My name is David Koci. I am 12 years old, born on May 31, 2013. I am Czech and I live in Žďár nad Sázavou, Czech Republic.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Czech and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 7.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at TJ Žďár nad Sázavou.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Filip Brückner and Lukáš Čepl.
What is your weekly training routine?
On Monday I train for 1.5 hours, Tuesday for 2 hours, Wednesday for 1 hour, and Thursday I have 1 hour of gym training followed by 1 hour on court. On Friday I train for 2 hours. Weekends are usually dedicated to tournaments or team competitions.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my forehand and volley. I need to improve my backhand.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the older students category and currently have 9 points.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievements so far are winning first place in both singles and doubles tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
Do you have any sponsors?
Unfortunately, I do not have any sponsors yet.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to reach 15 points in the senior category.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to play at Wimbledon.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Carlos Alcaraz or Rafael Nadal because they are my idols.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy going for walks and chatting with my friends.
