Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Nastya Leshchik. I am 15 years old and I was born on March 7, 2011. I am from St. Petersburg, Russia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian, English, and German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I had been doing ballet and gymnastics since I was 3 years old, but I started playing tennis when I was 7 and a half. For the next two years, I combined gymnastics and tennis every day.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my younger brother also plays tennis.
In which club do you train?
I train at the Center for Physical Culture and Sports in St. Petersburg.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Elena Vinogradova, Polina Vinogradova, and Sergey Merkuriev.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train seven times a week for three to four hours a day, and I also do physical training three times a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my movement on the court and the power of my shots. I think I still need to improve my shot accuracy.
What is your age category and your national ranking?
I compete in the U17 category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Winning the U17 Regional title was the most meaningful victory for me. This year I also tried playing in the adult category and finished in third place twice.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in Russia and Belarus, and I would like to try international tournaments in the future.
Do you have any sponsors?
For now, I am only supported by my family.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to continue improving my physical fitness and to show my best tennis in competitions.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become the best tennis player in the world.

I once played doubles with Barr, but now I would like to try playing with a younger player like Carlos Alcaraz.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love skiing and going on water slides.
