Hello, introduce yourself please.
Hi, my name is Aanya Sujay. I am 13 years old. I was born on April 6, 2013. I am from the United States and I currently live in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was around 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the first in my family to play tennis competitively.
In which club do you train?
I train at Blakeney Racquet Club in Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA.
What is your coaching team?
My coaching team includes Coach Erik, Coach Chris, Coach Kyle, and my dad Sujay, who support me with technical, physical, and mental training.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train 4 to 5 days a week, which includes on-court practice, match play, fitness training, and recovery sessions.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strength is my cross-court power and aggressive playing style. I am currently working on improving my consistency in longer rallies and making better shot decisions under pressure.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I compete in the U14 category. My current ranking is No. 268 nationally, No. 71 in the Southeast, and No. 15 in North Carolina in the Class of 2031 rankings on Tennis Recruiting. My USTA Girls’ 12s national ranking is No. 208, and my UTR is 5.30.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Some of my biggest achievements include competing at a high national level and consistently improving my rankings. I recently won a USTA L4 tournament in singles in the Girls’ 12 division, and a USTA L5 tournament in both singles and doubles in the Girls’ 12 division.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have competed in the United States.

My goal is to continue improving my national ranking, perform well in major tournaments, and compete at higher levels.
