My full name is Tuong Minh Nguyen, but people usually call me Min. I am 12 years old and was born on August 31, 2014. I am Vietnamese and live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Vietnamese and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 8.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes. My maternal grandfather, father, and mother all play tennis and passed their passion for the sport on to me.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at my family’s tennis club.
Who is your coach?
My coach is my father.
What is your weekly training routine?
I mainly train in the morning for about 2 to 3 hours. In the afternoon, I participate in a practice session, do light training, or work on extra self-training for another hour. I train regularly six days a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I am still developing as a player and believe I need to improve many aspects of my game as I grow older.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am currently ranked No. 1 in the Vietnamese U12 rankings.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievement so far is representing the Vietnam U12 National Team at the Southeast Asian Championships and qualifying for the Asian Finals in Singapore in September 2026.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in ATF U14 tournaments in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. I have also played tournaments in Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not have any sponsors yet.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to compete well against the best players in Asia in the U12 category and participate in as many ATF U14 tournaments as possible to gain valuable competitive experience.
What is your tennis dream?
I do not have a specific dream in tennis. Tennis is a natural and important part of my life. I enjoy training, competing, and improving every day, and I believe that one day I will have the opportunity to play alongside the best tennis players in the world.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Roger Federer because I admire him and the way he played tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I occasionally play video games, go swimming, and play tennis with my friends.

I would like to dedicate this interview to my family, who introduced me to tennis and continue to support me every day.
