My name is Lena Fonai. I am 13 years old and was born on August 2, 2012. I was born in Pécs, Hungary. I am Hungarian and currently live in Austria.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Hungarian, German, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes. My mother and father both play tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Union Mauthausen.
Who is your coach?
My coach is Christoph Brückel.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train tennis four times per week and do one conditioning session every week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is that I almost never give up. I want to improve my ability to stay positive, no matter how difficult the situation becomes.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U14 category and I am ranked No. 51 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far are finishing third in a Tennis Europe doubles event and becoming the Upper Austria State Champion.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Austria, Croatia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.

No, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to go as far as possible in Tennis Europe tournaments and become Upper Austria State Champion again.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win a Grand Slam tournament and reach the Top 10 in the world rankings.
Which players would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz because they are among my favorite players and I admire their playing style and mentality.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy going for runs and staying active.
