My name is Maya Firer. I am 11 years old, born on January 4, 2015. I am Israeli and I live in Even Yehuda, Israel.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Hebrew and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 4 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, tennis is a big part of my family. My older sister competes nationally and in Tennis Europe tournaments, my younger brother also plays competitively, and my family shares a strong passion for tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at O&O Tennis Academy in Israel.
What is your coaching team?
My head coach is Omri Ohn. My coaching team also includes additional tennis coaches, a fitness coach, national team training sessions, and mental coaching support.
What is your weekly training routine?
I usually train six days a week with group and private tennis sessions, fitness training, and Israeli national team practices. I also compete regularly in local and international tournaments, while balancing basketball competition once a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my adaptability during matches, fighting spirit, and explosive power. I constantly work on improving both the technical and mental aspects of my game.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am currently ranked No. 1 in Israel for my age group (U11).
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My achievements include being ranked No. 1 in Israel for my age group for three consecutive years, winning every tournament I played in Israel at age 10, representing the Israeli national team, finishing runner-up at the Dubai Lemon Bowl U12, reaching the consolation final at Smrikva, and making the doubles semifinals of a Tennis Europe event.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Croatia, France, Luxembourg, and the United Arab Emirates.

What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win the Israeli U12 National Championship and reach the final stages of the Tennis Europe tournaments I play.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player and compete at Wimbledon one day.
Which players would you most like to meet and why?
My favorite players are Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner because I admire their fighting spirit, intensity, and passion. I would especially love to meet Aryna Sabalenka.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing basketball, skiing, drawing, playing board games, and spending time with my poodle, Kika.
