Hello, introduce yourself please.
My name is Valentina Natalia Munoz Diaz. I am 15 years old. I was born on September 1, 2010. I have Chilean and Colombian nationality, and I currently live in Chile.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish as my native language and English at an intermediate level.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 6 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My sister played tennis for a long time, but she later decided to focus on her studies.
In which club do you train?
I train at Club de Tenis San Jorge in Quillota, Chile.
What is your coaching team?
My team includes technical coaches Sven Jannaz and Hans Jannaz, and fitness coaches Gabriela Vargas and Rodrigo Cabezas.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train every day. In the morning, I do about 2.5 hours of tennis and 1.5 hours of physical training. In the afternoon, I complement this with 1 hour of fitness and 1 hour of tennis.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my inside-out forehand. I am working on improving my footwork and my speed on court.
What is your age category and your ranking?
I am 15 years old. I mainly compete in the U16 category, but I also play U18 tournaments. I am currently ranked No. 11 in the U18 category in Chile.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have been a finalist in a COSAT tournament in both singles and doubles, and I had the opportunity to play the qualifying rounds of a W15 tournament.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in Chile and Colombia.
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes, I have the support of Head with a discount on sports equipment.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to play more WTA tournaments and continue developing as a player.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to compete in the biggest tournaments in the world and become world No. 1.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Elena Rybakina because I feel that I have a similar playing style to hers.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I like to relax and spend time doing things I enjoy, such as being with my friends, going for walks, and connecting with nature. I love sunsets and taking photos of them, as well as watching movies of different genres. I also dedicate time to my studies and improving my English.
