Oliwia Wolska · Interview, August 2026

What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Oliwia Wolska. I was born on August 24, 2013. I am Polish and I live in Bielsko-Biała, Poland.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Polish, English, German, and a little bit of French.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of six.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No one in my family has played tennis professionally so far. However, both my parents and my grandpa Józek really enjoy playing tennis and take part in amateur tournaments. Tennis, cycling, skiing, and ski touring are my family’s favorite sports.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at BKT Advantage.
Who is your coach?
I have always been very lucky with my coaches, not only in tennis. Everyone I have worked with, or still work with, is an amazing person who helps me develop technically, tactically, and mentally.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I think my greatest strength as a tennis player is my willingness to work on my tennis, my fitness, and my knowledge of the game. I enjoy coming to every practice, and I always train at 150%. When you want to go pro in any sport, it means constantly improving, so I need to improve everything.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in U14, and my national ranking is No. 45.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far have been winning two bronze medals, in 2024 and 2025, at the Polish U12 National Team Championships.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments all over Poland, as well as in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. There are many good players nearby, so at some stage of almost every tournament, I am lucky enough to find someone who can beat me.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I use Wilson rackets. I switched from the Ultra to the Blade V10, and I feel really confident playing with it. I use Solinco strings. I have different shoes from different brands, but my favorites are Babolat and ASICS. My favorite sportswear brands are Bidi Badu and Nike, although I also wear tennis clothes from other brands. I currently receive 50% sponsorship support from Wilson, and I hope for a full sponsorship from them one day.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to win the National Championship.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win a Grand Slam. And another one. And after that, another.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite tennis player is Marta Kostyuk because her game is amazing. Sometimes I think she is flying around the court. She is also super flexible and positive, and I think I want to be like her.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, my latest hobby is programming websites and developing mobile apps. I also enjoy other sports, including rhythmic gymnastics and swimming. Since I live in the mountains, I go mountain biking in spring, summer, and autumn, and backcountry skiing in winter. I also enjoy going for walks with my dog Wilson, reading, and learning languages.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I would like to dedicate this interview to my mom and dad, who are always there for me, and to my grandparents for all their emotional support.
