What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Nayla Waldherr. I was born on October 12, 2011. I am Swiss/Liechtenstein, I represent Liechtenstein, and I live in South Africa.
What languages do you speak?
I speak German and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was eight years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my whole family plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Claremont Tennis Club.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Dean Botha, Quinn Abercrombie, and Chad Streak.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I personally think my greatest strength is my attacking forehand and my ability to come back from losing. I need to improve staying focused on the match.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U16 category, and I am ranked No. 70 in the country.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my greatest successes so far was finishing third at the Liechtenstein Nationals.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, and South Africa.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I use a Babolat racket and Nike shoes. I am not sponsored.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to get into the Top 30 in the country and win my first Super 8.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to play Division I college tennis.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Aryna Sabalenka because she attacks a lot, and that is what I do too.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy football, boxing, skating, art, piano, karting, adrenaline, and sports in general.

I would like to dedicate this interview to my younger self, who has worked very hard to be where she is right now, and also to God, who has been with me every step of the way.
