My name is Marija Lauva. I was born on February 1, 2008. I am Latvian and I am from Liepāja, Latvia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Latvian, English, and a bit of Russian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was three and a half years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My little brother has just started to play tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train in a private tennis club called Roland Game.
What is your coaching team?
My tennis coach is Rolands Rembergs. I also work with fitness coaches and a physio.
What is your weekly training routine?
My routine usually includes one tennis session and one fitness session.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are the way I read the game and see where the ball will land, as well as my fitness abilities.
What is your age category and ranking?
I am a junior player competing in the Under-18 category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest achievements so far include winning a bronze medal in doubles at the European Championships, as well as ITF singles and doubles titles.
