My name is Aleksandra Kelsina. I am 14 years old and was born on June 29, 2011. I am Ukrainian and currently live in Valencia, Spain.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian, English, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Latvian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old, but I began competing at a professional level when I was 12.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club or academy do you train?
I train at Tennis Academy 92, and my private coach is Paco Almendros.
What is your coaching team?
My coaching team consists of my tennis coach, Paco Almendros, my fitness coach, Pasha Pliusch, and my sports psychologist, Jecy.
What is your weekly training routine?
Every day, I train 2–3 hours on court and spend 1–1.5 hours on physical conditioning. On weekends, I either compete in tournaments or continue training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my discipline, motivation, power, forehand, and patience. I would like to improve my speed, backhand, and serve.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U16 category. I only started playing tournaments in Spain one month ago, so I do not yet have a national ranking there. In Latvia, I was ranked among the Top 50 players in the U14 category. After the summer, I plan to compete in ITF and Tennis Europe tournaments.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my biggest achievements was winning a U16 tournament in Latvia. I have also competed in TEN-PRO tournaments, and recently reached the quarterfinals of a tournament in Spain.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Latvia, Spain, Lithuania, and Estonia.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors, but I am actively looking for sponsorship opportunities.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win an ITF or Tennis Europe tournament.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become World No. 1.
Which players would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Roger Federer, Aryna Sabalenka, and Marta Kostyuk because they inspire me with their achievements, dedication, and personalities.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and I also love baking.
