My name is Lukne Janusauskaite. I am 14 years old and I was born in 2012. I am Lithuanian and I live in Šiauliai, Lithuania.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Lithuanian and English, and I am learning French.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my parents play tennis two to three times a week.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Šiaulių Teniso Akademija.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is Rita Romencovienė.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train tennis twice a day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday, I have physical education and tennis, and I also have another practice on the weekend.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I feel like I have a great forehand and backhand, but sometimes I struggle with them like everyone else.
What is your age category and ranking?
In U14, I am ranked No. 2 in Lithuania and No. 285 in Tennis Europe. In U16, I am ranked No. 7 in Lithuania and No. 719 in Tennis Europe.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
In 2024, I won the Lithuanian Championship U12 and a Tennis Europe U12 doubles title. This year, at the Lithuanian Championship, I finished third in singles and first in doubles.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Norway, Cyprus, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.
Do you have any sponsors?
I previously had Tecnifibre, but then I switched to heavier rackets. I currently play with Yonex, but they do not sponsor me.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to play my best tennis at the European Championship U14.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become World No. 1 and win Grand Slam titles.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Aryna Sabalenka because she is my favorite player.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy hanging out with friends.
