My name is Khadija Boumaila. I am 12 years old and I was born on May 18, 2014. I am Tunisian and I live in Tunisia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Arabic, French, and a little English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Trieres Tennis Club in Nabeul, Tunisia.
What is your coaching team?
My coaching team includes Neji Sayahi as my tennis coach, Najiba Daoued as my fitness coach, and Fedi Ben Taleb as my sparring partner.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train four times a week with my group, complete two fitness sessions, two private tennis sessions, and one sparring session every week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest weapon is my serve. I would like to improve my mental strength and mindset so I can perform even better and continue my journey toward becoming a professional tennis player.
What is your age category?
I compete in the Benjamine 2 (U12) category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have played many national tournaments and won several of them. One of my happiest memories was being finalist in a tournament at my home club in Nabeul last summer.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only competed in tournaments in Tunisia.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors, but I am working hard and hope to find one in the future.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goals for 2026 are to improve my mindset, improve my ranking, and compete in tournaments outside Tunisia so I can gain experience and prepare for future ITF events.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become one of the Top 10 professional tennis players in the world and win Roland-Garros. I absolutely love playing on clay courts.
Which players would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Mirra Andreeva because she has achieved so much at such a young age and I admire how composed she is on court. I would also love to meet Novak Djokovic because he is one of the greatest players ever and continues to perform at the highest level thanks to his passion and dedication.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
I enjoy playing any sport involving a ball, including football, basketball, and volleyball.
