My name is Giuliana Alvarado Solís. I am 14 years old and I was born on February 2, 2012. I am Guatemalan and I live in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was four years old, and I began competing and representing Guatemala when I was seven.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my parents, my brother, and my grandparents also play tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at the academy of the National Tennis Federation of Guatemala and also take private lessons with Anthony Vásquez.
What is your coaching team?
My private coach is Anthony Vásquez.
What is your weekly training routine?

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is that I have a good attitude on and off the court, and I fight for every point. I need to improve my physical condition and tactics.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U14 category and I am ranked No. 1. I also play in U16 and I am among the Top 10.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievements include representing Guatemala at the WJTC and JITIC as the No. 1 player, becoming champion in my category, and being promoted to the next category for several consecutive years. I also finished third in U18 in my first participation in that category, and won Copa Guatemala G2, Copa Canal de Panamá G3, and Copa TIHTA Aruba G3.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, Aruba, the Dominican Republic, the United States, and Guatemala.

No, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to finish among the Top 8 in U16 in Guatemala, improve my ITF ranking, and represent Guatemala in the Junior Billie Jean King Cup U16.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to represent Guatemala at the Central American Games, the Pan American Games, and the Olympic Games.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
My favorite player is Aryna Sabalenka because she is aggressive, and I admire her playing style and mentality.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy learning to play the piano, reading, painting, and doing crafts.
