What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Penelope Lang. I was born on August 3, 2014. I am from the United States and I live on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
What languages ​​do you speak?
I speak English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I took my first tennis clinic when I was five years old. I started playing seriously when I moved to Hilton Head at nine.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No tennis players, but my mom was a Division 1 swimmer and my dad was a professional snowboarder.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Van Der Meer Academy.
Who are your coaches?
My coach is Brian De Villiers.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my work ethic. I am trying to improve my strength and build muscle.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in 12U. I am ranked No. 59 nationally in singles and No. 18 nationally in doubles.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far include breaking into the Top 100 in the nation, beating high-ranked girls at L1 Nationals, and placing third at the Smith Stearns L3.

I have played tournaments in the USA.

I am sponsored by Dunlop and use all of their equipment. I am also sponsored by Road to Pro and wear their socks. I wear Nike, Adidas, and Lucky in Love tennis outfits, and I always wear Nike sneakers.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to place at Nationals and break into the Top 25.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win a Grand Slam, preferably Roland Garros.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Aryna Sabalenka. I love her strength and passion for the sport.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love to swim, ride my bike, play ping pong, and spend time with my friends and family.
