What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Cali Dobbs. I am 10 years old and I was born in 2016. I am American and I live in Austin, Texas.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was three years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad, grandfather, and aunt play tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Trogolo Tennis and Mouratoglou Center HSB. Robert Trogolo played at the US Open and Wimbledon and coached Michael Chang, the 1989 French Open champion, Andy Roddick as a junior, and many other professional players.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Robert Trogolo, a Grand Slam ATP coach and former player, and Andrea Farulla, a coach, player, and national and international champion.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my serve, speed, and fortitude. I need to improve my anticipation of my opponent and my volleys.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I am 10 years old. I finished green ball early and earned my USTA Level Up to compete in USTA 12U Level 5 tournaments.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Serving 95%+ on first and second serves in the 80–90 mph range and lots of practice.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in the United States.
What equipment brands do you currently use (racket, string, shoes, clothing…), and are you sponsored by any of them?
I use a Tecnifibre T-Fight 285 racket with Tecnifibre Ice Code 16-1.30 strings and ASICS shoes. For clothing, I wear Wilson, Nike, and a mix of other brands. I am not currently sponsored.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to play 14U and level up when I am 11 years old.
What is your tennis dream?
I want to be in the WTA Top 10, win Majors, meet Princess Kate, and have fun playing!
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Iga Świątek because she works so hard, smiles, and keeps her cool!
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy riding my bike, swimming, kayaking, and playing with animals.

I would like to dedicate this interview to my grandfather, Bill Dobbs, the lifelong Dobbs family coach and hero.
