What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Alessandra Ossis. I am 10 years old and I was born on August 24, 2015. I am Estonian and I live in Estonia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Estonian and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was three years old. Tennis has always been a big part of my life, and I cannot imagine my life without it.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only competitive tennis player in my family. My family supports me a lot and travels with me to tournaments and training camps.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at MK Tennis Club in Estonia. In Italy, I train at MTA Tennis Club in Jesi, and in the USA I train at Johan Kriek Tennis Academy in Florida.
Who are your coaches?
In Estonia, I train with the coaches at MK Tennis Club and with Kristjan Tamm. In Italy, my coach is Paolo Tikka, and in the USA, my coach is Johan Kriek.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my aggressive playing style, especially my forehand. I like to play fast and take control of the point. I want to improve my consistency, footwork, and movement on the court.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 age category, and I am currently ranked No. 10 nationally in Estonia.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far have been winning the Little Mo doubles title and reaching the consolation final in 2024, winning the Estonian Youth League II, and winning first place in Group 2 at an Estonian GP tournament.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Italy, and the United States.
What equipment brands do you currently use (racket, string, shoes, clothing…), and are you sponsored by any of them?
Yes, I am a Lucky in Love Kids Ambassador, and I am very proud to represent the brand.
What is your next goal?
My goal for 2026 is to continue improving, gain more international experience, and compete successfully in stronger tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player and compete in Grand Slam tournaments while representing Estonia.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite players are Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka. I admire Sabalenka because of her powerful and aggressive game, and I admire Naomi Osaka because of her mentality and the way she handles pressure.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy travelling, spending time with my family and friends, and being around animals. I especially love my dog, Coco, who comes with me almost everywhere.
