My name is Anina Richerzhagen. I am 16 years old and I was born on January 25, 2010, in Germany. I live near Cologne, Germany.
What languages do you speak?
I speak German, English, and a little Italian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I held a tennis racket for the first time when I was six and a half years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Not really.
In which tennis club do you train?
Right now, I play for the women’s team at RTHC Leverkusen and train at the Marc-Kevin Goellner Tennis Academy.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Jean-Marc Werner, Marc Goellner, and Syna Goellner.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
People say I have a strong competitive spirit, and I definitely need to learn to accept my mistakes even better.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the W16 category, where I am ranked No. 62. I am also ranked No. 335 in the women’s age groups, with a WTN of 19.71.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best results so far include winning a USTA Under-18 Level 5 tournament in Florida, reaching the semifinals of an ITF J60 tournament, and making the final of an A7 women’s tournament.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played most of my tournaments in Germany, but I have also competed internationally in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and the United States.
Do you have any sponsors?
Head is my racket sponsor, and my family is my main sponsor.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to continue improving my game and my decision-making during matches while staying mentally strong.
What is your tennis dream?
I hope tennis will continue to play an important role in my life in the future. I would love to play college tennis in the United States and, of course, keep having fun on the court.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
My favorite player is Roger Federer because he is mentally so strong.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy hanging out with friends.
