My name is Rodrigo Pascual. I am 11 years old and I was born on August 19, 2014. I am from Guatemala and I live in Guatemala.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my dad, my uncles, and my little brother play tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at the National Tennis Federation of Guatemala.
What is your coaching team?
I train with the coaches from the Federation, and my dad, Virves Pascual, also coaches me.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my mentality, serve, and backhand. I need to improve my physical conditioning.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category, and I am ranked No. 3 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
In the U10 category, I was singles and doubles champion. In the U12 category, I have been a finalist three times and a doubles champion.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only played tournaments in Guatemala.
Do you have any sponsors?
I currently do not have sponsorship from a brand or company, but the Federation supports me with a training scholarship.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to qualify for the COTECC Masters tournament, where the best eight players from Central America and the Caribbean compete.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to become an example for the next generations of tennis players from Guatemala.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
My favorite player is Novak Djokovic. I admire his mentality and identify with his playing style.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and playing video games.
