What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Ana Sofía Alvarado Martínez. I was born on November 27, 2014. I am Guatemalan and I live in Retalhuleu, Guatemala.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish and a little English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was six years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the first tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at La Trinidad Retalhuleu.
Who are your coaches?
My coaches are Wilfredo Gonzales and Manuel Lemus.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my character and my forehand. I need to improve my shots.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am ranked No. 2 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far include becoming national champion twice, doubles national champion twice, doubles champion and singles runner-up at COTECC Aruba, and a Little Mo USA doubles finalist.

I have played tournaments in Panama, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Aruba, and the United States.

My next goal is to stand out in COTECC tournaments and national championships, and to represent Guatemala abroad.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to reach the most important tournaments.

My favorite players are Rafael Nadal because of his mentality and Aryna Sabalenka because of her game.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy traveling.
