My name is Uzay Basaran. I am 11 years old, born on August 1, 2014. I am Turkish and I live in Istanbul, Türkiye.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Turkish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
There are no professional tennis players in my family, but my father enjoys playing tennis and always supports me.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train in Istanbul with my tennis academy and coaches. My club is ENKA.
What is your coaching team?
I work with my tennis coaches and fitness coaches, and my family supports me a lot during tournaments and training.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train almost every day. My weekly routine includes tennis practice, match play, fitness training, and conditioning sessions.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my forehand, fighting spirit, and strong serve for my age. I want to improve my net game and become even stronger mentally during important matches.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category in Türkiye and I am among the top players in my age group.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have played more than 65 tournament matches in Türkiye and recently started competing in Tennis Europe tournaments. Reaching main draws and improving my level every year are important achievements for me.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have mainly competed in Türkiye and recently started playing international tournaments in Europe.
Do you have any sponsors?
Not yet, but I hope to have sponsors in the future.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to improve my UTR, play more international tournaments, and continue developing my game physically and mentally.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player and compete in Grand Slam tournaments.

I would love to meet Carlos Alcaraz because I like his energy, fighting spirit, and exciting style of tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, watching sports, and playing video games.
