Hi! My name is Tekla Khutsurauli. I am 13 years old and I was born on July 18, 2012. I am Georgian and I live in Tbilisi, Georgia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Georgian, English, and a little Russian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 11 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no other tennis players in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Leila Meskhi Tennis Club.
Who is your coach?
My coach is Alexander Karangozishvili.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train six days a week. Three days I train with the first group and three days with the second group. I also train one day at home. At the club, I usually train between two and four hours per day.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my forehand and serve. I would like to improve my backhand.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U14 category and my national ranking is No. 23 in Georgia.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Last year I suffered several injuries and was unable to play tournaments. This year, my biggest achievement has been reaching the semifinals of a Georgian tournament.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win tournaments and become a member of the Georgian U16 National Team.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become World No. 1 and win all four Grand Slam tournaments.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Novak Djokovic because he is the player who made me fall in love with tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy listening to music, reading books, swimming, and watching films.
