My name is Nikita Bagin. I am 16 years old and I was born on June 3, 2010. I am Russian and I live in Moscow, Russia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Russian, and I am learning English because I believe in being educated.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was seven years old, but I began playing competitive tennis and competing in RTT tournaments when I was 14.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, there are no tennis players in my family except me.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Spartak Tennis Club, Moscow Tennis Academy, and Sunny Academy.
What is your coaching team?
I have been trained by many coaches, but the ones who have contributed the most to my success are Alexandra Borisovna Malakhova, Andrey Yurievich Matrosov, Natalia Vladimirovna Danilova, and Sergey Vladimirovich Pavlyuchenkov.
What is your weekly training routine?

What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strongest qualities are my speed on court, my second serve, and my forehand. I want to improve everything, but above all my psychology, because I know I can beat stronger players if I am more confident and calm in crucial moments.

I am ranked around No. 130 in Russia before the age of 17.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I do not consider my current victories as real success yet because I want to reach the highest levels of tennis. The victories I achieve now are pleasant, but for me, true success will come when I achieve my dreams.

I have played tournaments in Russia and Belarus.

No, I do not have any sponsors yet, but I really want to be noticed.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to win an ITF J30 tournament and enter the Top 50 of the RTT ranking.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win the US Open and Roland Garros one day.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
My favorite players are Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. For me, they are the standard of psychological preparation and playing style.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Apart from tennis, I am not really interested in anything else, which can sometimes lead to burnout. I would like to have someone close to me who supports me in difficult moments.

I would like to dedicate this interview to myself in the future: “Look, Nikita, one day you dreamed of becoming the No. 1 player in the ATP rankings, and you succeeded despite all the difficulties.”
