My name is Nia Sinchanova. I am 12 years old, born on May 22, 2014. I am Bulgarian and I live in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Bulgarian and I am currently learning English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was around five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Augusta Traiana Tennis Club in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
What is your coaching team?
My head coach is Ivan Petrov. My team also includes fitness coach Anastasia Petrova, physiotherapist Aleksandar Kostov, mental coach Dr. Dilyana Angelova, and career development advisor Presiyan Koev.
What is your weekly training routine?
From Monday to Friday, I train one hour of fitness, one and a half hours of tennis, and one hour of rehabilitation and recovery work. On Saturdays, I usually have sparring sessions and match practice.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my fighting spirit. I never give up and always try to find a way back into the match, no matter the score. I enjoy competing and learning from every challenge. I would like to improve my drop shots and become more confident using them during important points.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the Under-12 category and I am currently ranked No. 1 in Bulgaria.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Some of my biggest achievements are becoming Bulgarian National Champion, winning a Tennis Europe Category 1 tournament in Romania, reaching the semifinals of a Tennis Europe Category 1 tournament in Italy, and being a finalist with the Bulgarian national team at the Tennis Europe Winter Cups.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in France, Italy, Romania, North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and Croatia.
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes, I am sponsored by HEAD.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to qualify for the Tennis Europe Festival and achieve a strong result there while continuing to improve my game and gain international experience.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player, compete in Grand Slam tournaments, and represent Bulgaria at the highest level of international tennis.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Aryna Sabalenka because I admire her powerful game, strong mentality, and determination. She inspires me to be brave, confident, and fight for every point.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
I enjoy spending time with my friends, being with my family, and having fun when I am not training or competing.
