My name is Mohammadkiyan Jannesarghamsari. I am 14 years old and I was born on October 19, 2011. I am originally from Iran, I represent Iran, and I currently live and train in Vancouver, Canada.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Persian and English, and I am currently learning Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis around the age of nine and quickly became passionate about the sport.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only competitive tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I currently train in Vancouver. Before moving to Canada, I trained at Babak Tennis Academy in Iran.
What is your coaching team?
My coach in Vancouver is Roberto.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
One of my biggest strengths is my fighting spirit. I never give up and always compete for every point. I am currently working on improving my serve, attacking game, and mental consistency.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U16 category. I do not have a Canadian national ranking yet because I recently moved to Canada. My career-high national ranking in Iran was No. 19.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Some of my biggest achievements include reaching the ATF U14 semifinals and achieving an ATF ranking of No. 149. I have also won multiple matches in ITF Junior tournaments and recently won a U16 tournament in Langley, Canada.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have competed in tournaments in Iran and Canada.
Do you have any sponsors?
I am currently looking for sponsorship opportunities with tennis and sports brands.
What is your goal for 2026?
My main goal for 2026 is to improve my level, build my Canadian ranking, perform well in U16 tournaments, and gain more international experience.
What is your tennis dream?
My biggest dream is to become a professional tennis player, play in Grand Slam tournaments, and compete at the highest level of the sport.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Carlos Alcaraz because I admire his fighting spirit, athleticism, and intensity on court.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy running, working out, spending time with my friends and family, and exploring Vancouver.
