My name is Maja Vorgic. I am 17 years old and was born on April 20, 2009. I am Serbian and German, and I live between Belgrade and Munich.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Serbian, German, English, and French.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family, but my mother used to play a little when she was a girl.
In which tennis clubs or academies do you train?
I train in several tennis clubs and academies across Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, and Serbia.
What is your coaching team?
I work with a national and international training team.
What is your weekly training routine?
From Monday to Saturday, I train around three hours of tennis per day on average, along with one hour of fitness training three times a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my forehand, backhand, and my ability to move forward and play volleys. I want to improve by becoming even stronger and faster on court.
What is your age category and ranking focus?
I compete in the U18 category and I am more focused on international tournaments than national rankings.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have won multiple national tournaments in Serbia and Germany across different categories. Internationally, one of my best achievements was winning a Tennis Europe U16 singles title in Slovenia.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Germany, Serbia, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Malta, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, and Aruba in the Caribbean.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have a sponsor, but I would be happy to have one. I play with a Wilson Blade tennis racket and Luxilon strings.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to start playing senior national and international tournaments on the WTA tour.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a well-known professional WTA tennis player, play my best tennis, and achieve top results in my career.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Maja Chwaliล„ska because she shows that success comes through smart play, and we also have the same name.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love reading books and learning new languages.
