My name is Matilde Antelo Mansilla. I am 13 years old and was born on July 18, 2012. I am from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish, English, and German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Club de Tenis Santa Cruz.
What racket and strings do you use?
I play with a 300g Wilson Ultra racket and use Kirschbaum Black Shark 1.30 strings.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train from Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. On Saturdays, I train from 9:00 AM until around 11:30 AM or 12:00 PM.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My biggest strengths are my serve and my forehand. I need to improve my consistency.
What is your age category and ranking?
I am in my final year in the U14 category, where I am ranked No. 21. In the U16 category, I am ranked No. 111.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievements have mainly come in COSAT tournaments. During the last tour, I reached the semifinals in both singles and doubles here in Santa Cruz.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only played tournaments in Bolivia.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal this year is to focus more during tournaments and achieve better results.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to earn a college scholarship in the United States and represent that university in tournaments. I also want to play in a Grand Slam one day.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Carlos Alcaraz because I would love to ask him how he continues his career while managing distractions.
What do you enjoy outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I would like to study architecture or interior design and build a successful future.
