My name is Lira Jemiri. I am 9 years old and I was born on June 20, 2017. I am Albanian and I live in Skopje, North Macedonia. I represent North Macedonia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Albanian, Macedonian, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was five years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at MTP Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is Kruno Despotovski.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train almost every day. I practice my tennis technique, footwork, different shots, and play matches.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is that I never give up. I always fight until the last point. I would like to improve my serve, consistency, and strength.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U11 category. When I was eight years old, I won two tournaments in the U11 category. There is no official national ranking for Green Tennis, and my current national ranking will be added later.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest success so far has been winning two U11 tournaments when I was only eight years old.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have played tournaments in North Macedonia, in different cities.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not have any sponsors at the moment.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to improve every day, win more tournaments, and become a better tennis player.
What is your tennis dream?
My biggest dream is to become the number one tennis player in the world and to play in Grand Slam tournaments.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, Alexander Zverev, Jannik Sinner, and Elena Rybakina. They are among the best tennis players in the world, and there is a lot to learn from them. They are an inspiration to everyone who plays tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing the piano, swimming, listening to music, travelling, and spending time with my family and friends.
Who would you like to dedicate this interview to?
I would like to dedicate this interview to my mother, who is always by my side and supports me in everything I do. I would also like to dedicate it to my father, who is watching over me from the sky. I carry his love in my heart every day, and I believe he is proud of me. This interview is dedicated to both of my parents, with all my love.
