My name is Kyla Quibin Caguioa. I am 12 years old and I was born on February 18, 2014, in Singapore. I am Filipino and currently live in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, Philippines.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Filipino and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started taking formal tennis lessons when I was nine years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My dad also plays tennis. We started learning the sport together, but he fast-tracked his own development so he could train and guide me.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train mostly at Washington Place Tennis Club. We also visit nearby tennis clubs to train and practice with other junior players.
What is your coaching team?
I am coached primarily by my dad. He also works closely with coaching consultants, including Coach Rene Leis. From time to time, I train with other coaches such as Coach Brian Amoranto of Brilliant Tennis and Coach Antonio Remolano Jr. of Sta. Rosa.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train three to four times a week. I also do cross-training through my first love, Taekwondo, which helps keep my body flexible and athletic.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I believe my greatest strength is being tough and fearless on the court. I enjoy challenges and love competing. In terms of my game, my strongest strokes are my forehand and serve. One area I continue to work on is managing my emotions during matches.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the Girls’ 12 & Under category and I am currently ranked No. 1 in the Philippines.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
Some of my greatest achievements so far include being ranked No. 1 in the Philippines in the Girls’ 12U category, representing the Philippine Team at the ITF Asia 12 & Under Team Competition 2026, winning the Girls’ 12U Championship at JUNTAPHIL, winning two silver medals at the Palarong Pambansa 2026, and becoming the Girls’ 12U Champion at the 2026 Unified Tennis Philippines Elite Eight Playoffs.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
Most of the tournaments I have played have been in the Philippines, and I have also competed once in Thailand. I will be playing in Penang and Perlis, Malaysia, this coming November and December.

What is your goal for 2026?
I have already achieved many of my goals during the first half of the year. For the second half, my goal is to improve my ranking in the Girls’ 14U category.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win a Grand Slam title and become World No. 1.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Jannik Sinner because I admire his playing style and the fighting spirit he shows in every match.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy reading books, spending time with friends, and exploring new places, especially after tournaments.
