My name is Karla Valeria Pop. I was born on June 30, 2016, in Spain. I am Romanian and I live in Baia Mare, Romania.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Romanian and Spanish.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only tennis player in my family.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Aerofit Sports Club in Baia Mare.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is Nicolae Chirculescu (Nick).
What is your weekly training routine?
I currently train 4 days a week, 1 hour per day.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My best shot is my backhand, and I still need to work on developing a stronger serve.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U10 category and I am currently ranked No. 42.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My best result so far was finishing runner-up at the Loyal Center Ed. 2 Cup.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only played tournaments in Romania.
Do you have any sponsors?
At the moment, my only sponsors are my parents and my family.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to participate in an international tournament.

My dream is to become a Top 10 WTA player.

Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my family.
