Hi! My name is Julie Hryha. I am 12 years old, born on February 7, 2014. I am a Ukrainian-Czech tennis player and I live in Brno, Czech Republic.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English, Czech, Ukrainian, and Russian.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, I come from a sporty family and my cousins also play tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at BLTC Brno in the Czech Republic.
What is your coaching team?
My personal coach is Gabriela Pantuckova, a former professional player who reached WTA No. 268.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train every day, sometimes twice a day, with additional conditioning, physiotherapy, and massage for recovery.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my forehand and serve. Right now, my team and I are focusing on improving my slice and drop shots, especially for clay court season.
What is your age category and ranking?
I currently compete in the U12 category and am beginning to play U14 tournaments. My ranking in the Czech Republic is No. 48.
What challenges are you currently facing in your tennis journey?
As I am currently Ukrainian and still processing Czech citizenship, I am limited in the international and prestigious tournaments I can enter in the Czech Republic. Despite this, my team and I are prioritizing long-term game development over rankings.

At the moment, I do not have any sponsors.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to reach the Top 10 in the world and play Grand Slams. I know there is a lot of hard work ahead, and I am ready for it.
Which players inspire you the most?
My biggest tennis idol is Aryna Sabalenka because I admire her game and confidence on court. I also look up to Ukrainian players Marta Kostyuk and Elina Svitolina.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy running, cycling, swimming, and doing other sports with my friends or coach.
