My name is Irene Cossio Ribera. I am 12 years old and was born on October 10, 2013, in La Paz, Bolivia. I am Bolivian and I currently live in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Spanish and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, I am the only one in my family who plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Club de Tenis Santa Cruz.
What is your coaching team?
My main coach is Gunter, and my physical trainer is Eduardo CastellΓ³n.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train around five hours per day from Monday to Friday, combining tennis practice and physical conditioning. On Saturdays, I train approximately three hours. I also have private lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my forehand. I feel confident using it during matches. I need to improve my physical strength to become a more complete player.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the 14 & Under category, and I am currently ranked No. 24 in Bolivia.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have won many tournaments. My most recent achievement was winning a G3 tournament in singles and finishing as runner-up in doubles.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only competed in Bolivia, but this year I am planning to play tournaments in Paraguay and Peru.
Do you have any sponsors?
Currently, I am looking for sponsorship opportunities to support my tennis career.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to improve my ranking, compete internationally, and continue developing my game.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player and represent Bolivia around the world.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Rafael Nadal, Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Jannik Sinner because I admire their mentality, discipline, and level of play.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love trying new sports and staying active.
