My name is Eduardo von Knorring. I am 11 years old and was born on December 16, 2014. I am Swedish, Swiss, and Brazilian, and I live in Zürich, Switzerland.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Swedish, English, German, and Swiss German as native languages. I also speak a little French.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis at the age of 3.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my mother was a tennis player and my sister plays tennis for leisure.
In which tennis academy do you train?
I train at Dürnten Tennis Academy.
What is your coaching team?
My coaching team consists of Team Peter Frey (Igor Smilansky & Steve Schmidt) and Athanasios Sakellariou.
What is your weekly training routine?
At the moment, I train 13.5 hours per week, including 4 hours of fitness. In addition, I play tournaments both in Switzerland and abroad.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My strengths are my serve, forehand, creativity on court, and defensive skills. I also believe in myself and I’m a fighter. I need to improve my consistency, especially keeping strong shot intensity with enough margin over the net on my groundstrokes.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am currently ranked No. 3 in Switzerland among boys born in 2014.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievements so far are finishing runner-up in a Tennis Europe Category 2 tournament and winning doubles titles twice in Tennis Europe Category 2 tournaments.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Montenegro, Cyprus, and Croatia.
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes, I am supported by Babolat and family members.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to keep developing, growing as a player and having fun, and to be selected for the U14 Swiss National Team this fall.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to win Wimbledon and reach the Top 10 on the ATP Tour.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Carlos Alcaraz, to spend a day on and off court with him to feel his energy, skillset and approach to life.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing football, skiing, and golf. I love being with my family and my dog Pablo, and I also enjoy playing with my friends and eating cheese fondue or raclette with them.
