My name is Coco Van Der Walle. I am 11 years old and I was born on November 2, 2014. I am Dutch and I live in Amsterdam.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Dutch and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was eight years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No, but my dad is a padel trainer.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train with JS Tennis at Park Marlot and Thor de Bataaf, and with the Dutch national selection at the NTC in Amstelveen.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Jade Schoelink-Reijndorp and Guy den Heijer from JS Tennis & Coaching. My physical trainers are Madiken and Andy. At the NTC, I train with Miguel Janssen and Axel van der Heijde.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train five days a week, combining private lessons, group lessons, and physical training.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my motivation and fighting spirit. I would like to keep improving my decision-making during matches.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I play in Girls Under 12 and I am currently ranked No. 3 nationally.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My greatest successes so far include winning Junior Tour Gold twice in singles and doubles, winning Tennis Europe Amjoy in doubles, and winning the Dutch Masters U10 title.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Malta, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic. I will also compete in the Summer Cups in Türkiye.
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes. Wilson Tennis is my racket sponsor, and I play with the Ultra 100L. Björn Borg is my clothing sponsor, and TriTennis supports me with an outdoor tennis wall, which I use daily.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to become Dutch national champion and win a Tennis Europe singles title.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to become a professional tennis player and reach No. 1 in the WTA rankings.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Naomi Osaka because I love her playing style and calm mindset.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing padel and field hockey.

I would like to dedicate this interview to one of my best friends, Marie, and her mom, Eefje, because they are the reason I started playing tennis.
