My name is Charlyn Kenza Baba. I am 10 years old and was born on October 28, 2015. I am Austrian.
What languages do you speak?
I speak German, English, and Tagalog.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes. My sister Chloe-Rafaely Baba plays tennis, and my father Charles Baba also plays.
In which tennis club or academy do you train?
I train at Love4Tennis Cibulkova Tennis Academy.
What is your coaching team?
My coaching team includes Miroslav Polak, Charles Baba, and fitness coach Matej Pytlik.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train twice a week at the Cibulkova Academy with 1.5 hours of tennis and 1 hour of fitness. In addition, I complete one weekly individual training session with my father.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My backhand is my greatest strength, along with my willingness to do whatever it takes to win. I would like to improve my serve and forehand.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category and I am currently ranked No. 66 nationally in Austria and No. 272 in U18.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my greatest achievements so far was winning my first U10 title last year.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I played my first international tournament in Budapest, Hungary, this year.
Do you have any sponsors?
At the moment, I do not have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to improve my national ranking and play more international tournaments.
What is your tennis dream?
I dream of winning a Grand Slam one day.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Aryna Sabalenka because I am a big fan of her.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
I enjoy traveling.
