My name is Aleksandar Grujic. I am 16 years old, born on March 12, 2010. I live in Gevgelija, North Macedonia.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Macedonian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Bosnian, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was 4 years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my sister also plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Tennis Club Jug.
What is your coaching team?
My father is my main coach, and my sister is my sparring partner.
What is your weekly training routine?
Every day I wake up at 6:20 AM. I train from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, then after a short break I attend school from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. My second practice starts at 4:00 PM, and before going to bed I do yoga.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my forehand and my determination. I am currently working on becoming more aggressive during important points while also developing more patience on court.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U16 and U18 categories. I am currently ranked No. 1 in North Macedonia in the U16 category.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
This week, I won a Tennis Europe U16 title. It was especially meaningful because the tournament was held in North Macedonia and I was able to celebrate the victory in front of my family and friends.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in North Macedonia, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to improve my ranking, achieve strong results in international tournaments, and continue developing my game.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player, compete in Grand Slam tournaments, and represent my country at the highest level.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would most like to meet Novak Djokovic because of his incredible achievements, discipline, and mental strength. He is a great inspiration to me.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and playing the guitar.
