My name is Charlie Sennhauser. I am 18 years old and I was born on July 14, 2008. I am Swiss and currently based in Villena, Spain, and I will move to Hanceville, Alabama, USA, in August 2026.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English as my first language, French as my mother tongue, fluent Spanish, and basic Swiss German.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was four years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
My brother also trained at the JC Ferrero Academy, and my father was my coach in the early years.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Equelite Juan Carlos Ferrero Tennis Academy in Villena, Spain.
What is your coaching team?
My coach is Bryan Garcia at Ferrero Equelite Academy.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train three and a half hours of tennis every day except Saturday afternoons and Sundays, plus three and a half hours of fitness every day except Saturday afternoons and Sundays.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is a powerful, aggressive forehand and the intent to end points quickly. I am working on maintaining that aggression while sharpening my shot selection and consistency.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U18 category. I am currently ranked in the 400s nationally in Spain, with a UTR of 10.3 and a competitive projection of 11.0 to 11.5.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I recently beat a nationally ranked Top 150 player in a tournament final in Spain. I was also selected for the Swiss U12 National Championships two years running.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Switzerland, Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Nepal, and Spain.
Do you have any sponsors?
None for now.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to complete my A Levels, begin at Wallace State Community College in August, and push my UTR toward the 11 to 11.5 range through daily competitive training.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to win Wimbledon.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Novak Djokovic or Nick Kyrgios to compare their views on tennis.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy playing padel, listening to music, and watching movies.
