What is your name, birthdate, nationality, residence?
My name is Armin Mareš. I was born in 2008 in Prague, Czechia, and I live in Germany.
What languages do you speak?
I speak Czech, German, and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I turned four years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes, my half-sister was a very good prospect in Prague tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at TC Neutraubling.
Who is your coach?
I am currently searching for a coach.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strengths are my serve, speed, acceleration on court, and ability to fight back from a difficult position.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U18 category, and my career-high ranking in the Czech Republic was No. 250.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
One of my greatest successes so far was playing in the third-highest division in Germany at just 14 years old.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in Germany and the Czechia.
What equipment brands do you currently use, and are you sponsored by any of them?
I use Yonex Ezone 98 rackets with Head Lynx Tour strings. For shoes, I use Asics, and my clothes are from different brands.
What is your next goal?
My next goal is to get a sponsorship and reach the rating under LK5.
What is your tennis dream?
My tennis dream is to push myself to the limit and prove other people wrong.
Who is your favorite player and why?
My favorite player is Nick Kyrgios because he influenced me with his attitude and the way he always tried to make tennis fun and entertaining for other people.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I love listening to music and playing basketball.
