My name is Angelina Strashilov. I am 11 years old, and I live in Seattle, Washington, USA.
What languages do you speak?
I speak English and Russian, and I am learning Chinese.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis professionally at the age of 9.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
No.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Gorin Tennis Club.
What is your coaching team?
I have one main coach, Anna, and other coaches during group sessions.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train five times a week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I have a secret forehand shot 💪 and I need to use it more often during matches. I am working on improving my game strategy—playing smarter, not harder 🎾.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I compete in the U12 category. I am ranked No. 1457 nationally, No. 43 in the Pacific Northwest, and No. 25 in Washington.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
My biggest achievement is fearlessly playing against strong opponents, learning from them, and improving my game every day.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
I have played tournaments in the USA, and I plan to compete in Canada this summer.
