My name is Ana-Maria Simion. I am 10 years old and I was born on June 2, 2016. I am from Bucharest, Romania.
What languages do you speak?
I speak German and English.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was around six years old.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
I am the only one in my family who plays tennis.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at Tenis Total MG&D in Bucharest.
What is your coaching team?
My coaches are Cosmin Ghetu and Mihai Ghetu. I also work with Dan Cristea for my physical training.
What is your weekly training routine?
I train daily for one and a half hours per day, and I also have two physical training sessions per week.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
My greatest strength is my ability to start over again and again. I never give up, no matter how hard it is. What I want to improve is my forehand.
What is your age category and national ranking?
I am currently competing in the U10 category and my national ranking is No. 34.
What have been your greatest successes so far?
I have reached the semifinals and finals of several tournaments but i am still working hard to achieve my best performances.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only played in my country, Romania, but I hope to start competing internationally soon.
Do you have any sponsors?
I do not have any official sponsors yet.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal is to keep growing my game, be competitive, and enjoy my tennis journey.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional player, and I hope to win Wimbledon one day.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Rafael Nadal because I love his mental strength and determination. He is a great champion and a model for me.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I like to paint, read, and meet with my friends.
