Introduce yourself: Name, Age, Date of birth, Nationality, City of residence
My name is Alexandre Marra. I am 16 years old and I was born on January 7, 2010. I am Belgian and I live in Wavre, Belgium.
What languages do you speak?
I speak French, a little English, and a little Dutch.
At what age did you start playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was around 5 or 6 years old. However, I would say that I only started taking the sport seriously at the age of 16, when I began training 5.5 hours per week.
Are there other tennis players in your family?
Yes. My brother plays tennis, and my parents also enjoy the sport.
In which tennis club do you train?
I train at PARIVAL, a family-oriented club with excellent coaches who are dedicated to helping players improve.
What is your coaching team?
I do not yet have a professional-style team, but I work with five different coaches. This allows me to receive different perspectives on my game and identify areas where I can improve.
What is your weekly training routine?
On Monday, I go running. Tuesday is dedicated to physical training. Wednesday is my rest day. On Thursday, I go running with a tennis friend. On Friday, I play 2.5 hours of tennis. I also train for 1.5 hours on Saturday and another 1.5 hours on Sunday.
What is your greatest strength as a player, and what do you need to improve?
I am a very consistent player and I can adapt my game to disrupt my opponents. One area I need to improve is moving forward more often instead of staying too close to the baseline.
What is your age category and ranking?
I compete in the U16 category. I do not know my official Belgian ranking, but according to UTR I am ranked 97th among Belgian U16 players.
In which countries have you played tournaments?
So far, I have only played tournaments in Belgium.
Do you have any sponsors?
No, I do not currently have any sponsors. I would like to find one in the future, but I feel I need to improve my ranking first.
What is your goal for 2026?
My goal for 2026 is to continue climbing the rankings, win tournaments, and start competing on the Tennis Europe circuit to gain international experience.
What is your tennis dream?
My dream is to become a professional tennis player. Reaching the world’s Top 100 would be an incredible achievement. I know many players train more and are considered stronger prospects, but I continue to believe in myself and work hard every day.
Which player would you most like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Jannik Sinner because I feel that we share a similar style of play. His behavior on and off the court is exceptional, and I think he is a great example to follow.
What do you enjoy doing outside of tennis?
Outside of tennis, I enjoy going on bike rides and spending time with my friends.
